The dollar fell enough today to open the floodgates for silver. IMHO it is been a difficult wait to watch it catch up with the highs gold is turning in right now. A $1 rise in one day is significant and we haven't seen that too many times. Finally!

From all I have read over the last few years the silver shorts hold a lot of power in Comex trading since it is a small market and easier to manipulate than gold and several other commodities.

Hopefully there has been a lot of short covering today and we will see a rapid catch-up this week as the shorts have been blown out of the water. As always I'm sure it will depend on what the dollar does. Thoughts and opinions???

My hope is that it will get back to a 50:1 ratio as gold moves towards $1200...meaning a $24 silver price soon. Again, thoughts and opinions?

We can only hope that your summation pans out.

This is the week that future contracts must be settled, They have to be closed out at the end of business thursday so this should be a very wild week in silver. A dollar rise on monday could signal major problems for those holding short positions.
